We had a free finance class with Hope Steele! Being a medical student spouse herself, she has felt overwhelmed about money and medicine (can you relate?). There are so many things you DO NOT learn in school to prepare for the financial road to becoming a physician. After teaching hundreds of people about personal finance and money and medicine, she knows what mistakes are made and how to fix them. During this finance class she spent time explaining what these were and gave our members advice for the journey through medical school!

"5 Mistakes Medical Students and Families Make and How to Fix Them to Achieve Financial Independence"

  1. The “Postponing”

  2. No Current Goals

  3. Manually Tracking Your (it’s saved somewhere…) Budget

  4. The “Cheap” Mentality

  5. Failing to Vet Sources of Financial Advice

  1. So Something Now

  2. Set and Work Towards a Goal

  3. Not Wasting Time and Money BY Using Financial Tools & Systems

  4. Be Frugal, Not Cheap

  5. Find Resources That Clearly Understand Your Current Situation
