New MSP Presidency 2020-2021!

Updated: Apr 21, 2020

Hello, Caitlin here! I just want to let you know it was an absolute honor to serve as the President of MSP this year and I have enjoyed working with and getting to know so many wonderful significant others. The Presidency and Activities Committee did so much to grow this group - they are each incredibly talented and I'm going to miss serving with them! We have a group of wonderful significant others, and I just feel blessed to be on this journey with you all!

I am so excited for the new MSP Presidency! These ladies are AMAZING and I'm happy they chose to join MSP leadership this year. I hope the experience is as unforgettable and FUN as mine was. Bottom line - you are in good hands and I have no doubt this upcoming year is going to be a blast!

Here is your new Presidency!

MSP Presidency

President - Katie Unger

Hey everyone, my name is Katie and I’m so excited to get to know you all more! I was on the MSP Committee last year, and I loved it so I decided to go for President! I have big shoes to fill from Caitlin, but I know we will have an awesome Presidency/Committee this year!

I grew up moving mostly up and down the East Coast because my dad was in the military.   Now it’s fun to experience the West more! I went to BYU-I and Paul Mitchell Hair School in Rexburg, Idaho. I met my husband at Paul Mitchell because he would get his haircut there! Now we have been married for 4 years and have the cutest little boy named Bentley. I love hiking, crafting, game nights, or any sort of fun time with friends/family! Right now I’m training for my first half marathon and it’s kicking my butt, haha! I absolutely love being out here, hanging out with other significant others, and I truly hope to serve you in the best way possible! I’m excited for this journey!

Vice President - Amanda Noyce

My name is Amanda Noyce. My husband is going to be a second year student. We moved to Ivins from Kaysville, UT and absolutely LOVE living here. We have 2 kids - a 3 year old girl and a baby boy that we welcomed over spring break. I grew up in a small town in Idaho where people are positive the only things to do there are climb trees and tip cows, but it’s home. I enjoy all forms of exercise, especially running, and am up for any craft project! I'll pass up any dessert except cookies, in which case I’ll eat them all. I can’t wait to keep getting to know you all next year!

Secretary - Selina Hoffman

Hi, my name is Selina Hoffman. I am from Northern Utah, and graduated from Weber State University with a degree in Earth Science teaching. I personally have a lot of interests and hobbies, but I would categorize myself as a crafty nerd. My husband, Dana, and I got married almost exactly six years ago. We don’t have any children yet, but we have a perfect little mutt of a dog named Kiri. We came to RVU-SU last July and have fallen in love with Southern Utah. I’m so excited to get to serve in the RVU-SU MSP Presidency, and get to know everyone more.

Treasurer - Larissa Clason

My name is Larissa Clason. I am going to be a year three medical school wife in fall 2020. My situation is a little different from others as my husband had the opportunity to do the OPP fellowship through the school. This adds on an additional year of school for him, but gives me the opportunity to stay in St. George for three more years with the amazing friends I have gained.

I love doing anything outdoors. My husband and I try to get out as much as possible and enjoy all that this outdoor wonderland has to offer. We have kayaks and in the summer you can find us swimming in the three state parks within 30 minutes from here. We have fallen in love with St. George and can’t wait to continue to experience the many adventures here.

I have loved the experiences I have had so far in this journey. Having this group to lift and support me during the hard times has been a huge blessing. My career is in financing and I am happy to have been given the opportunity to serve MSP as the Treasurer where I can use my skill set. I can’t wait to meet you all!

Communications Chair - Ashley Jolly

Hello! My name is Ashley Jolly. My husband, Mac is going to be a second-year medical school student this next year! We moved to St.George from Salt Lake City and are highschool sweethearts. So cute, right? I love to travel, go to concerts, and have a passion for Disneyland that only my love for classic rock n' roll can rival. Which is a huge reason I married my guitar playing, Disney-taking, travel partner husband of mine... and because he laughs at my jokes. I have a dog named Bennie (The Jet Rodrigua); she's named after the Elton John song with a twist of Sandlot. I am sarcastic, dedicated, and I can't wait to get to know more of you! I'm excited to help plan some rad things to get us all through this medical school journey, that let's be honest, most of us had no idea what we were

signing up for. (; Let's do this!  XO  - Ash
